Mid-Week Matinee: Akademiks -Tanchers

Is There Room for One More?

Every morning I am late for work.  Even when I make it in the building on time, I still must wait for the elevator to take me to the 23rd floor –the elevator ride is long enough, but waiting among the masses that are populated with people each trying to make it to their respective floor by 9 am, is what makes me late.  Yes, I could wake up an hour early –that would put my alarm time at four in the morning and journey into the city, but my job doesn’t pay me enough; so I am content with being 5 to 10 minutes late, rather than being an hour early.

For the last month or so, I’ve really been making an effort to be on time –well, not exactly on time for work per se, just early enough to catch the elevator, with the fine Samoan dude, Frank, that works in accounting.  He just transferred to our company’s corporate headquarters in Chicago from our branch office in Hawaii –he graduated from the University of Hawaii where he was a star football player.  And if that doesn’t make his sexy ass fine enough, he possesses a business degree with a concentration in finance –he minored in accounting.

Everyday, I just miss the elevator with Frank in it.  I imagine my morning starts off the same way:  I run through the lobby and push my way through the crowd only for the elevator doors to close just before I reach.  Then, perhaps the sensors pick up some sort of interference, and the doors open.  Frank has pushed the open door button to the outbursts of the other angry riders and he tells me, “Come on in...there is room for one more.”  I look at the other riders who are visibly upset that the car has been delayed, then back at Frank.  “Come on,” he says again, “I’ll make myself small.”  He turns from the space in front of me to face the interior of the elevator, and sure enough he has created a space, although quite small, yet large enough in which I can fit –and I squeeze in, in front of him.  I too face the interior of the car.

Frank shifts slightly to accommodate me, and I am cradled in his chest.  I shift to create some space between the man before me and his briefcase that continues to hit my knee.  I move back as far as I can onto Frank.  He whispers in my ear, “Every time you move like that, you’re make me hard.”  I apologize.  The elevator stops on the 12th floor.  People get off, but the man with the briefcase doesn’t move, and I stand as still as I can, with Frank pressed hard against me.  Thirteenth floor.  I can feel his breath on my neck, and I am aroused.  I rub my bottom against him deliberately, to and fro, then apologize.

The elevator reaches the 16th floor and stops again. The man with the briefcase gets out, along with everyone except Frank and me.  He turns me around in the empty elevator and I face him.  He squats a little and reaches up the hem of my full-length skirt, and pulls down my panties.  I step out of them.  We’re on the 17th floor.  Frank rubs his hands up the back of my thighs, as he makes his way to standing.  In one fell swoop, he lifts me up and holds me under my thighs.  He carries me to the corner of the elevator, pinning me against the walls; I wrap my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck. We’re on the 18th floor.

Using his chest to stabilize the two of us, he holds me with one arm, while the other unzips his pants.  I feel his...

Nine West -Emmo, Medium Orange

Ciao a tutti!

Some thoughts about shoes and life...

Shoes take one on such an amazing journey through life; days marked by strolls along the beach or running carefree through the grass and nights which culminate in dancing until the wee hours of the morning…usually until your feet hurt.  Life taking the moments from each step and converting them into memories that we shall cherish for a lifetime.

But there are steps…missteps we’d like to forget.  Those rare occasions when our pretty pumps or new shoes veer us from our intended destination, and instead we are left wandering, even meandering through our journey; had we paid attention to the signs: a broken heel, a blister on our foot or the untied lacers which caused a trip and subsequent fall –each diverting us from that fateful course yet still we ignore the obvious and chose to venture down a path not meant for our feet to tread.

It is at these times we ask ourselves, ‘How on Earth did I get here?’; knowing full well the course and consequence of our actions, but being too close to the situation to see the bigger picture until we have reached that point where we are down trodden and still unable to stand or stand up for ourselves in those broken heels, unable to walk or walk away because of that painful blister and unable reach the lacers or reach out to tie lacers because that fall left us hurt.

It is at these moments, which are hopefully few and far between, that we see who we really are and are faced with the decision to keep on those shoes that we are wearing and continue down the spiraling destructive path which will inevitably lead to our own demise (whether it be theoretical or actual), or instead put on another pair of shoes (perhaps not as flashy or as new, and maybe even not our own) and pull ourselves up by the proverbial boots straps, change direction, set a new course and get back on the path we were intended to walk down…

Monday's Must Have Shoes: Two Lips -Rainbow, Tan

Ciao a tutti!

Another of my recommendations for Must Have Shoes for the summer all you Shoe-A-Holics out there, is a a 'Wow 'Em' Wedge! Now without a doubt, wedges are my favorite style of shoe (I think my Arsenal can comfortably boast 90 pairs...and counting); wedges take the guess work out of learning who to walk properly in heels. Combined with a platform, they actually lower the incline of the heel, thus giving you height without the fear and trepidation of their spindly counterparts the stiletto!

Why a 'Wow 'Em' Wedge? Simple answer, the fun factor! If you're going to journey into the realm of Heel-dom, you might as well cause some excitement (or stir up some trouble...all depends on how you view that half full glass, eh!).

Three tips to a 'Wow 'Em' Wedge:

1. Height -An extreme wedge is always an attention getter...the higher the better, I say. Just make sure you know how to walk in those 4, 5 or 6 inchers before you venture out. Just because you can stand in them, doesn't guarantee you can walk in them!

2. Style -There is so much delicious eye candy out there in the world of wedges. If you are just starting out, slides would probably be your best option. Slides are so easy to slip off under the table, then slip back on before you head out onto the dance floor. Ankle strap wedges have a nostalgic feel to them; they remind me of 1950's secretaries (I mean administrative assistants) in those slenderizing calf-length pencils skirts. The flamboyant wedge in conjunction with the demure ankle strap tell the world that you are ready for work and/or play! My sexy style preference is anything with and ankle wrap (see my Flashback Friday post in the Baby Phat Vincenza's to see why).

3.  Details -With height and style taken care of, the decorations (or bells and whistles) to a shoe can take it from ordinary to extraordinary!  The subtleties of the details are what make any Shoe-A-Holic say, "Wow!"

And these beauties are not short on accoutrement:  the 'rainbow straps', the knotted vamp, the hardware anchoring/displaying the rainbow and my personal favorite, the braided rainbow covering the heel...Ahhh, now that's what I call a Wow 'em Wedge!

Sunday Show Stopper Alert! No. 704b -Moira

Attention, Shoe-A-Holics!
We interrupt your regularly scheduled blog for this Shoe-Stopper of a post!

I'm thinking about a few of my fellow Shoe-A-Holics this morning, and I thought I'd share some inspirational words about life; hoping this enables you to move one step closer to you!

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.”

–Mother Teresa

And my personal addition to such inspirational list: Life is a playground...have fun with it!

Fill Her Up With Diesel

There is only one man I fantasize about –Vin Diesel. I have many day dreams about him, but my favorite is this: Vin and I are long time friends –he has written a script for which he believes I would be ideal, and he invites me to his mansion in Los Angelesto look over the screenplay and to negotiate a possible deal.

Vin is an avid weightlifter, and he invites me to work out with him several mornings but I politely decline because I prefer to run. One morning, I finish my run in relatively good time, and decide that I will hit the weights with him. When I go into the exercise room, he’s already gone –there is a faint odor of sweat in the air and I am immediately aroused. I debate whether or not to touch myself there, but opt not to –I don’t want him to catch me, fantasizing about him, while I pleasure myself. I make my way back to my room, and shower –where find that I am out of lotion. Wrapped only in a towel, I walk down the hallway to his room.

I catch a whiff of aloe vera and honeysuckle –the scent of shower gel floating on the steamy mist of a shower. His door is ajar, and I knock lightly, but he doesn’t answer. I call his name but still there is no response. I push the door enough to peek my head in and there he is, laid across his king size bed –arms outstretched, legs spread apart and completely naked. Vin has just showered and fallen asleep on the white down comforter that covers his bed. His shaft is so big, that it would take two hands to form the circumference of a circle in your palms; and it is so long that it hangs over part of his thigh. My nipples harden at the sight of him; I consider showering again because I am so wet for him that I am dripping. I stare at him a minute longer and leave because I would hate for my host to catch me invading his privacy. I pull the door to where I had found it and start off down the hallway.

“Alexis.” My name is called. I turn around and enter the room without knocking. Vin is still asleep, but he is stroking his dick, from balls to head, which is now fully erect. He calls out my name again and moans. I lick my lips, watching him masturbate. The windows are all open and the white sheer curtains that hang from them sway slightly as a morning breeze comes in.

I unfurl my towel, place it on a chair and stand at the foot of the bed –naked. He calls out my name yet again. I realize that he is fantasizing about me in his dream while he’s masturbating. I want to make every one of Vin’s dreams and every one of his fantasies come true, so I climb onto the bed between his legs and continue to crawl over him until my lower lips...

Must Have Shoes: Oakley -Spite, Black

Ciao a tutti!

With summer less than 10 days away, a recommendation of mine for a must have shoe (especially for the beach) is flip-flop. Easy to wear and equally easy to care for, these thong beauties stand up to the salty surf and the smooth sock surface won't allow the sand stick! Invest in a quality pair with a traction outsole so that you always have a sure step whether at the beach or the pool!

My Favorite Places: Gigi's Cupcakes, Bronx So Today -Cooper (Suede)

Ciao a tutti!

Today, my fellow Shoe-A-Holics, you are in for a treat!  Decadent, mouth-watering and delectable; my shoes are taking us to the place I refer to as the candy shop for grown-ups : Gigi's Cupcakes.

Missing our Italian Pastry Shops, when we saw the sign for Gigi's from our hotel window when we first arrived in town, we knew we had make a special visit, and have been doing so religiously for nearly a year!
Celebrating,  my birthday month (and yes, I celebrate not just the day, or the week of my birth, but rather the entire month), I signed up online for my free Gigi's cupcake!

I picked this particular day, because on any given day, Gigi's has 11-12 different cupcakes from which to choose; satisfying those of us with a sweet tooth, those of us with a really sweet tooth, and even those who prefer something savory when a snake-craving comes calling, and today, my sweet tooth was asking for the Chocolate Chip Cheesecake!
Chocolate Chip Cheesecake:
Devil's food cake with dark chocolate chips,
champagne cream cheese frosting, chocolate chips and
sprinkled with chocolate ganache

Hubby decided on something new as well:
Carrot Cake: topped with cream cheese frosting,
decorative orange icing & green sugar crystals

Today's menu featured so many temptations:

Feast you eyes on these:

Pictured above is the Chocolate Salted Caramel, a personal favorite
of mine which is highly recommended: Special dark chocolate cake
filled with caramel, caramel frosting dipped in ganache and topped with sea salt...yum!

And just when you think you've tried all 35 items on the menu this spring/summer, Gigi comes out with a fall/winter menu to tempt your sweet tooth for another 6 months!

Hooked for life:
Crushing on all things Gigi yet?
There are so many ways to enjoy these mouth-watering morsels, but don't hesitate; the popular flavors sell out fast (we got to the store shortly after it opened)!  If you can't make it in early, you can always call ahead and have them reserve you your favorites (at my local store, we can even Facebook the Gigi's and reserve what we want).

Have a special event coming up?  Gigi's Cupcakes caters!  From weddings and graduations, or just a gathering of friends you can order both the regular or mini-sized cupcakes for your big day.

Travel mugs, t-shirts and tote bags; bring some Gigi's home with you... the cupcakes are so good they won't make it home!

Always the bargain hunter:
Gigi's rewards loyalty!  If you are familiar with Gigi's then you know about their rewards card:
Buy a dozen cupcakes and get one free!  Gigi's is phasing out this card with a more efficient Cupcake Lover's Reward Program: you can sign up online and you earn 1 point for ever $1.00 you spend.  Collect 50 points and receive a $5.00 reward valid on your next visit.  When you sign up, you earn 25 points automatically!

A Compelling Story:
A motivated teenager from a modest upbringing and determined to have something of her own, Gigi started her own Cleaning Company at the age of 15.  But a singer and songwriter at heart, she sold her cleaning business and moved to Nashville to fulfill her dream in the music industry.  Waiting tables during the day and singing nights, wasn't the dream she envisioned,  so at 30, she retired from music and returned to cleaning.  Until the fateful day when a phone call changed her life.  Her brother had waited hours to get into a cupcake store in New York, only to be disappointed.  He told Gigi that, "These aren't as good as yours and mom's.  You should open up a cupcake shop in Nashville!"  And as they say, the rest is history.  Four years later, 50+ shops in 18 states, Gigi's words of wisdom are as follows: Believe in yourself, walk with integrity, work hard and trust in God; maybe your life won't turn out exactly how you were expecting or hoped it would be, but maybe, just maybe, it will be so much better than you ever imagined!

Give Gigi's a Swirl!

Baci a tutti!
